When the hour came, he took his place at table with the apostles. He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer, for, I tell you, I shall not eat it [again] until there is fulfillment in the kingdom of God.” Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and said, “Take this and share it among yourselves; for I tell you [that] from this time on I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.” And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you. Luke 22:14-20.
Yes, it was Holy Thursday at Bastion. 19 posted for the weekly hour of power at St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
Nabisco and lil’ Shiner attended Extra Credit at 0515. The 0530 bus had COP set in parking lot, a trip to Cotswold Shopping Center, a chance to carry heavy things…like one another, less than six minutes of Mary at the foot of the cross, and some thought time in the front-leaning rest position. Little over 3 miles, methinks, without Garmin confirmation. Film Festival applied additional instructions. Good to see Sauerkraut and many old-school Bastion redwoods. Spring break regulars were missing and missed. Thanks, Hollins.
Great to see old and new faces, this morning. It was privilege and pleasure to be with like-minded men of purpose. Grizzly reports AT hiking extravaganza, next weekend. Announcements were light.
BOM prayer took us into our day.
