5 HIMs started the SoeedRuck course precisely at 0515 today. Evidently we did not notice a random truck on Providence Rd flash his lights at us at 0516. The flashing lights obviously meant “hey wait for me” but we were too engrossed in our rucking to notice.
WhatDid and Crowdstrike returned to the SpeedRuck gloom and we picked up MMOB at the usual spot on Sterling.
Upon our arrival back at Christ Church someone spoke up “that looks like Gepetto’s truck” Lo and behold it was Gepetto who flashed his lights urging us to wait. As Gepetto is not a SpeedRuck regular he was unfamiliar with the route and ended up on a solo tour of Myers Park. He will be on time from now on!
Analytics says 14:35/mile pace so we moved with authority and purpose.
