The BackBlast:
At 5:29am I was informed I was now the Q since Chair Thrower was sick. At 5:30am we promptly left. At 9:38am I was instructed to write this backblast. Thankfully, being a graduate of the #1 school of innovation Arizona State University (10 years running), it was easy to innovate and overcome these challenges. We kicked it up kings to the parking deck at Atrium health for some stair runs and planks. It may have been the most humid location in all of CLT. We mosied over to Edgehill park for some dead hangs, dips, and more planks. A lap around the park and we headed back up Kings stopping for mary and some partner runs. Moonshine demanded to run on the opposite of the street but i refrained from correcting him……mostly because i couldn’t keep up. He had to run back to the pax as we stopped at several intersections. A quick stop for some wall sits at the atrium deck at morehead and we got back right on time covering 3 miles.
The mumble chatter was enjoyable for the first few minutes, but mostly everyone shut up as the heat got to us. Maybe and Moonshine were trying to set speed records…..until Maybe politely let his elders win and gave up. I’m just glad Bermunda didn’t hand the Q off to Doobie. That would not have been very innovative.
