The BackBlast:

I remember Tammy Fay’s last interview. Heading to DMZ I always want to knock on the door at Jim and Tammy Fay’s house and ask if its haunted.

It was too early to knock, so we passed and headed to DMZ for the audit. The workout that made Chappie and Film festival famous is now alive with a newer crowd. On monday, Chicken wing and pea shooter nervously stretching as the auditor arrives. Chappie is MIA, a former D1 athlete punishing the par 3’s at Carmel, just not at F3. Wire was there, ‘Jbait and Lot Lizzard (perhaps the second best name in F3 to Egypt) and a few others waited for the punishment. The Audits are becoming regular, so we were greeted with pleasantries and unmarked bills to make the scoring go work just right. We passed on the bills, its a free workout. Spend your cash on that New City church.

Here’s the Audit- Overall a good result, Pea Shoota is a man of steeled protocols, he’s got his calendar set up and his Pax need to step up for him.

Scoring was simple, across a 1-9 scoring range with 9 being the most favorable. The main focus is on the leadership from the Site Q and Q. The rating goes as follows:
1 Flesh Anchor
3 BullFrog
5 Lizards
7 Accelerating
9 Virtuous Leaders

Did the workout start & end on time, with clear flow and minimal downtime? SCORE: 9. DMZ land is perhaps best in breed in this category. Its a nice AO with simple cul de sacs which allow a Q to dip, duck, dodge, dive and dodge …and return their pax on time.

Did the Q use proper cadence and give clear instructions with good form enforcement? SCORE: 9 Chicken wing is a graceful leader at this, perhaps one of our premium leaders who is articulate enough to describe the next exercise only once.

Was the workout well-balanced (run/strength/core) with appropriate distance and intensity aligned to sharpen the PAX?SCORE: 7 Wingz kept the group tight.

Did the PAX stay engaged and moving, with safe, scalable exercises for all fitness levels? SCORE: 7 yes but red alert, real problem folks. The amazon driver was burning a pile of ganja and we couldn’t shake the smell.

Is leadership rotating well (new Qs stepping up, well scheduled, back blasts posted, veteran Qs not hogging) did the COT & Metro South announcements spur the PAX? SCORE 5. First score in the 5s. Pea Shooter is a tremendous leader, he’s got his calendar up and his boyz can put their names on it to get it filled out for next year. His Q has hands so big they wont fit on the keyboard to write a back blast, big red pen moment.

These guys are lit, a solid AO for the ages and Monday’s are light but I have my money on this one growing in the future.
