The BackBlast:

The beatdown centered around three balance exercises. (1) Standing straight up and lifting one leg in front of your repeatedly. This got named the drunken stork. (2) Leaning forward and raising one leg behind Warrior 3 style, static hold. (3) Side plank with leg lifted, static hold.
We partnered up and went around the OA. At the wall by the basketball court, we had one partner do the drunken stork while the other do 20 merkins merkins, twice to get both legs. Then 30 LBCs and warrior 3. Then Side Plank and 20 Dry Docks.
At the back entrance to the school, same pattern, but the non-balance partner did Dollies, Heels to Heaven, and Supermans.
Same pattern again in the covered courtyard. Non-balance partner did inboards and outboards and dips. Had to call it before getting to side plank.
The playlist was mostly funky rock songs or rockin’ funk songs. A balance of classics and newer stuff.
