Bandit (with a twist – not Russian, either)

The Thang – exit the lot into the park and – wait! – Clipboard just arrived, so we circle back (thanks to Doobie) and do SSHs till our eminent physical trainer arrives. Back down into the park and hang a right towards the end of New Hope, where we stop for some Imperial Walkers (never knew that there we so many ways to do those – or not) and Merkins. And over in the bushes… What’s this? A kettlebell and a ruck. We grab those and head to back to the parking lot. The plan was: One PAX calls out an exercise for the group to do and then he grabs both pieces of gear and Farmer Carries for two street lights. Drop the gear at 2nd light and he starts the exercise that he called while the PAX run to catch-up to him. Not too difficult, but we made it so. One loop of the lake was all there was time for – about 2 miles.

NMM – The one loop allowed for plenty of smack-talk – much of it aimed at YHC and the lack of mileage. Eh, you’ll have that sometimes. Nobody could figure out where Maybe was, as his truck was there (LIBOR drives the same vehicle and it was his first time at Bandit – mystery solved). Glad to see Skyline out with us today (for those of you that don’t know, a month ago, his chest looked like the dinner scene in “Alien” – it was cracked-open for surgery on his aorta. An amazing recovery). Lucky also made a first showing at Bandit today – hope to see him there again if he can get past Flambée’s claim that Midwood and Cotswold are the same neighborhood. KGB started going off about… Nah, that’s obviously a lie. KGB doesn’t “go off” about anything – he’s as cool as a cucumber from Siberia. And that’s pretty cool. Marilyn & Curly are competing to see who can go hatless during the coldest mornings (Curly won today). Doobie’s thoughts on the morning: “if Cindy were here, he would’ve thrown the gear in the pond”. Just like my poor pumpkin at RAnGEr…
