Diz texted YHC last night to remind YHC of something ... shoot what was it ... oh yea ... that YHC was signed up to Q Atlas this morning. Good thing he did, otherwise, Atlas pax would have had Diz and or Cracker pick up the Q. Both are Atlas AO Qs, and both posted this morning - BTW, YHC noted that Cracker had gotten taller, but Diz noted that with age YHC may have lost an inch or two. YHC had no comeback, and right now find myself adjusting my chair so my feet can still reach the ground. So, having planned weeks ahead for this workout, I had just the plan to lay down on the pax. And that plan just happened to be the same one that was shared with me yesterday as part of the Bro-tastic Lenten Challenge. The stars all aligned, and this is what we did:
The Thang
Warmup mosey around the parking lot with karaoke, manly high knees skipping, but kicks, and more karaoke as we headed to the green "grass".
SSH x15 Frog Thrusts (plank followed by hop where foot land up near your hands that stay planted on the ground) Helicopters (arm circles while hopping on both feet, forward circles for 12 then backward circles for 12) IW (for Coach, who was MIA) Plank followed by Grapevine stretches topped off with GAAP twists Continued to plank for further instructions on main event
5 rounds of the following: 15 Merkins, mosey to next stop 15 squats (although first round was 15 called in cadence), mosey to next stop 15 big boy situps, mosey to next stop 4 burpees, mosey to next stop 15 dips, mosey to wall 1 minute of people's chair, mosey to green "grass" 1 minute of planking rinse and repeat 4x
Wrapped up with a little Mary: Rosalita x15 Dolly x15 Bicycle x15 Heels to Heaven x15
COT
Was surprised and happy to find CSPAN post this morning, travelling from the deep cold south. He not only took us out in prayer, but he doubled down and joined us afterwards for some 2nd and 3rd F at The Map. Hopefully, he was welcomed with a few familiar faces - namely ChickenWing and Stinger.
Hopefully, everyone will consider participating in the Bro-tastic Lenten Challenge which after today they have completed the first day's activity portion. Now we just need to stay away from fast food, alcohol, fried food, cake, cookies, etc. Good luck men, but whatever you do over the season of Lent that starts today, focus on that higher power, whatever it might be for you; in my case, it's my savior Jesus Christ. Whatever you might give up during this season, the purpose of fasting is to replace it with something that will bring you closer to something outside of yourself.
That's it for now.
