Disgruntled Latta Board Members

The BackBlast:

The humidity has finally arrived and greeted a group of 10 at Latta this am.

What We Did –
40 Thieves wasted no time and took off down Park Rd. towards St. Pats. We did some SSH’s at lower parking lot and then quickly took off to the St. Pats playground area for some merkins. Before getting into meat of workout.
– Partner up. Partner 1 does wall sit, partner 2 bear crawls to playground for pull ups, the job back. Switch. We completed 3 rotations.
– Off to base of WaverLee. 1 trip up with merkin hand-releases at middle and top.
– Mosey to base of Dead presidents. Partner up and zipper to East. 10 hand-slap merkins at each cross street.
– Back down hill to Mega-Deck.
– Up the ramp with 5 burpees at each landing, then back down.
– Up the stairs to top – perfect timing because sky opened up and it started to pour. Ended up on level 7 (not to be confused with Level 10 who was not there)
– Wall sits, then sprint to opposite side of deck, then backwards run back to stair.
– Back downstairs and started journey towards grinder (some quicker than others)
– Several stops at intersections for different motions. Also stopped at Latta playground for dips and derkins.
– Finished on grinder with a different version of Jack-Webbs. We got to 10, but did it by going to 5, then breaking for planks, then picking back up at 5, but going back to 1.

Moleskin –
– A total of 10 traveled about 3.75 miles. Joining 40 Thieves was Skyline, Sheep, MMOB, Kardashian, Khloe, Cream Cheese, Oswald, Wilson and Glad Hander
– Khloe needs a haircut. He looked like Kevin Bacon in Footloose this morning (for the younger group – the original Footloose stared Kevin Bacon. A famous actor born in Philadelphia).
– 40 thieves did a great job leading except that he lost 60% of the pax for a bit. That’s hard to do. The veteran board members got to bottom of the Mega-Deck stairs and had no idea where 40 Thieves went. Did they stay in the deck? Go up the ramp? Finally, we were reunited, but 40 Thieves had to withstand a barrage of criticism from MMOB. Luckily for 40 thieves, Skyline was 1 of the 4 in the lead group and did not get the double barrel barrage.
– Speaking of MMOB – fingers crossed he is selected to become new city council member. The owls of Mecklenburg county are all pulling for you.
– 40 Thieves did have to contend with lots of mumble chatter today. I think at 1 point, he was the only one doing LBC’s while the rest of us were chatting. I guess it could have been worse – Tassels could have been there.
– Speaking of Tassels – He is such an easy target. Although not there, the pax got a good laugh reliving Tassels’ stories.
– Hopefully Boat Misser remembered his daughter’s graduation this am. Congrats to Annie!
– Good luck to Scrooge on his Brewery Ruck today.
– Next week is Memorial Day weekend. Convergence on Monday at hot box for Murph, but Saturday will be business as usual for Latta as Glad Hander is scheduled to lead.
