Had a visit from McGruber today – DR from Raliegh. He’s here on bidness with a bank he works for (surprise) and has normally stopped by and visited Bandit on Wednesdays. Dropout showed-up. He’s a Kotter from Bizzard that I’ve been trying to EH back to the Gloom for the past year. So, we talked a bit as we were about to launch and Geppetto pulls up at 5:30am. That caused something to occur that WIB has not done in its 15yrs of existence – “Next exercise is… SSH” till Geppetto made his way over.
Launch. Cross Kings/Queens Rd W and up Sherwood. Stop at Hertford for 20 Flutters. Short mosey to Norton – 10 Imperial Walkers. Down Norton to a right up QRW to the starfish intersection. Heading up every leg (Hopdale/Granville/QRW/Hopedale) and 5 Merkins at every driveway on the right, 5 Merkins at every speed hump, 5 burpees at every intersection, 20 LBC’s at the end – head back to start and repeat. As soon as we started, Dropout dropped-out. Tried to keep him in the fight, but it didn’t happen. During the haul, Geppetto discussed with McGruber how his family company makes pumps “Not penis pumps. Not breast pumps. We make water pumps”. Chimay was his normal, stoic self – 30 yards ahead of the rest of us. He also promised to give Dropout a hard time, as he lives down the street. Humidity didn’t seem quite as bad today, but our shirts were still soaked when we finished-up at 3.25 miles.
