The Dog days of Summer are here, so it seems like everything is in first gear. Small group today at BHM, but definitely a solid crew. Outta the lot and up Queens, cross at Radcliffe – 8 merkins, 16 squats and 24 LBC’s at each intersection. As there are only two intersections, we ran back to a parking lot entrance and did a final round. Down Selwyn to Queens Rd W – along the way, mix in dips, diamond merkins, step-ups, dips and a plank. Queens Rd W to East Blvd (various PT at a few intersections), then cut up Maryland for some final distance, as there was concern about breaking the 3 mile mark. Turn it around with 4 min left. Back to home base where we planked for the last 1.5min. Tassels mentioned along the way that he liked this new pace at Big Hair (!). Diddy asked more than a few times if anyone wanted to go for a ‘run’ afterwards (!!). Good seeing that Thruster is back for good after his 3yr hiatus. WantAd (America’s Calf Monster), Gitmo and Slaughter seemed to be having a nice conversation, but I couldn’t hear it over the blood pumping in my ears. 3.4 miles covered. Shirts looked sweaty, so mission was accomplished.

Announcements – This Friday is The Fourth Of July with a convergence at Independence Park. Kodak and ColdCuts will Q the running bootcamp; Snoop at Skoal Bandit will handle the gear (sandbags and k-bells); Rousey is taking Q on the CORE option.
