No Maters in South End

That’s why YHC was up for Qing again so soon – Mater was supposed to show up after a long hiatus. He had to cancel, but that only changed how far we went. Beethoven was on time, so we started a 5:45 on the dot. Short Mosey to the train stop – 20 DC SSH’s, 15 IW’s. Mosey on the wrong side of the train towards Remount. Stop at the Remount Shrooms – for 10 Step Ups and 20 SC Derkins. Back up and mosey down Remount far enough away from a crosswalk that it’s a bit dumb (surprised?) with the traffic. Cross and then down Dunavant to Hawkins. Stop at a lot on Hawkins for some LBCs & a few Flutters. Back up and keep going down Hawkins, cross Tremont and duck left down an alley that looks like it goes nowhere. Pop-out on Doggett Street right at a parking deck “well, la-dee-dah”. Up the deck for 5 flights and plank at the top. Once everyone arrives we hold the plank for 1.5min – enough for grumbling. Back up and head down the deck 3 flights & into the stairwell and to the bottom. A little further down Doggett and left down an alley, which takes us back to Tremont. And we find a handy railing to go over and around three times. Out to S Tryon where it is GREAT to run on the crappy, uneven sidewalk in the darkness while headlights shine in your eyes. Back to Remount and take that back to the Rail Trail. Down the Trail & count the Trail Bunnies in the almost dark – there were a few. Back to the launch site and a few more Flutters to end it. 3.02 for mileage, even with the stupid stuff that slowed us down.
