The BackBlast:

Another gloomy morning.

Gathered at the calisthenics area at Veterans Memorial Park. Open with Penny Pickers and a bit of warm-ups, followed by a quick succession rotating mix of legs (squats, front and side lunges) , upper body (Mercan variations and Dips) , plank variations, abs. Separated each round with 20 Side Straddle Hops and 3 Burpees to make sure that “No running doesn’t mean no cardio” as MelonThumper put it when he noticed what was going on.

Tossed in some bodyweight dead hangs on the equipment anytime we needed to catch a breath. Finished the last minute with as many LBCs as time permitted.

Was happy to see that wearing down passerbys for enough Fridays got a new guy (MoneyBall) headlocked 2 weeks ago, and he returned this week with another former FNG, OverEasy. He’s living in SouthEnd and sounds like he’ll be scouting out more workouts to join.

Finally, headed out into the great unknown to try and track down a shovel so Park-It can plant a flag when we next meet Fri at 5:55 a.m (6am would make you late, but and late makes you Burpees).
