The BackBlast:

If July had dog days – today would have been one. Very hot and very humid. 10 showed up to support our local councilman. 2 of the 10 were from out of state and had no idea how important our leader was.

What We Did –
– MMOB kicked us off right at 7 with some Sharon towers and Imperial walkers before heading down Park to St Pats lower lot.
– More warm ups – I can’t remember- before we moseyed though the St Pats field and stoped at base of hill for some community service activities – we helped relocate the remains of a fallen tree.
– from there we headed thru hospital to Morehead to greenway entrance in front of hospital.
– we gathered at bottom of ramp for multiple motions. – derkins, dips, wall sits, LBCs. We even gained an additional member for a stretch.
– Once complete, our new member headed toward freedom and we headed toward midtown.
– continued the quick pace to the under pass with many coupons. We all grabbed 1 coupon – some larger than others – and found a flat area for multiple exercises around the coupon – squats with coupon press, merkins, WW2 sit ups, tri-presses.
– then off to small park at mirrored ball.
– many more motions including full field sprints.
– Moseyed over to new Atrium parking deck – all the way up the stairs to top. Greeted by security, then back down.
– backwards run up Berkley to Morehead.
– continued mosey along Berkley, down Lexington into park. Moseyed thru park across multiple bridges of Mecklenburg county and finished at grinder for some Jack Webs and Mary.

Moleskin –
We covered about 3.4 miles. It felt like 5 miles. MMOB had longer stretches of runs with longer stretches of recovery.
Joining MMOB – Skyline, Glad Hander, Wilson, Khloe, Jack Nasty, Cream Cheese and Sauté were joined by Gas Can from Idaho and Noriega from Greenville (upstate SC, not shit hole in eastern NC)
– Noriega asked if we typically run this much – I said, no. We usually run more. He mentioned we should post that on our website.
– Gas Can was in for the Rugby matches at Memorial Stadium. His son was on the junior team.
– Both could not have been friendlier and both joined us for coffee afterwards.
– No Monkey Humpers today in honor of Rube. Also – no visits to strip bars either. It was like MMOB was on his best behavior.
– I am sure our visitors didn’t realize they were amongst royalty at coffee where Girardi, L10 and Sheep joined us for an executive workout (well – loyalty being Girardi and L10 – not so much for Sheep – my bad – sheep is kind of like millennial royalty).
– Speaking of Girardi, he claimed that MLF put him up to dressing in all white for an exclusive White Party in Blowing Rock. Girardi claimed that MLF also brought the baby oil to the party. He also said he had to make a special run to Walmart to purchase his outfit. “ If I saw myself in clothes like that, I would have to kick my own ass”
– Sauté is still pushing for traffic circles. He was unaware of MMOB lead and second guessed his appearance. He should read his email more.
– Khloe has an interesting stride – it’s part shuffle, part skip, but he moves quickly.
– Speaking of Khloe, he has lead next week. My guess is that mileage will tick up.
