With Washington’s Birthday ahead of or behind us depending on your calendar, YHC dusted off the ghosts of middle school gym class and led a Presidential Fitness Test.

Warmup:
* 20 SSH
* 18 Imperial Walkers
* 16 Low Slow Squats
* 14 Merkins
* 12 Mountain Climbers
* 10 Bird Feeders (5 each side)
* Mosey to the track behind the school for shuffle, karaoke, high knees, and butt kicks.

Then into the five classic components:
1. Big Boys (1 min)
2. Shuttle Run (~120 ft)
3. Merkins (1 min)
4. Sit & Reach
5. Mile Run (EC loop)
With called exercises mixed in—Freddie Mercury, reverse crunches, thrusters, Rosalita.

* Short Circuit visiting from GA arrived loud and Funny was proud.
* Watchita back from sledding-related injury. A cautionary tale.
* Attempted throwback to 90s with a Jock Jams playlist.
* Big Dipper and satellites spotted overhead.
* Fun fact Canary’s grandfather served on the committee that launched the original test under JFK. Legacy.
* Smothered & Covered (Kotter) flexibility still in tact with league leading sit and reach.
* Funny Farm and Becky both self-identified as former Presidential Fitness Test scholars. Big if true.
* LMS most likely to be actual president given fitness level plus in business, HOA, volunteer, and greeter experience.
* Campaign platform will include changing title pronunciation to prih-ZYDE-ent, returning to originalist interpretation of role as one who presIdes.
* Shuttle run distance a few yards long…but made up for it with mile run up to a tenth short. All distance and timing remains approximate—rusty watch—but spirit was exact.
* Unofficial results were roughly equivalent to the average 12-year-old boy. Perfect baseline for improvement.
