Got to Bandit this morning… Stretched… Misenheimer pulled up… Curly… KGB… “Who’s the Q?’ “Dunno”. 15 seconds to go and nobody else pulls in. I guess it’s my turn.

The Thang: Head up QRW to a left turn at Radcliffe Ave. Stop at Stanford for some SSH’s. Mosey (Curly complains about the lack of stretching). Up to Queens and Selwyn for the next stop for Grapevine Stretch. Down Selwyn for another 1/3 mile – this time flutters. Pop-up, 1/3 mile, PT, pop-up… – you get the gist. We did that back to the AO and past it, all the while Curly and KGB are talking about European vacations “Ever been to Malta?” “Last time I was in Dubrovnik…” (Hell, I’m just trying to breathe right now). Dese guys, Misenheimer included, are just running at a nice, easy pace, and the QIC is behind them, fighting to keep up. We all have our issues. Mine is running. After passing GO (the lot) without collecting $200, we kept going into the park & saw Ernie walking his dog (why wasn’t he at Splinter Group?) and ran into Rube, who’d arrived late, ran 3.1 miles and found us with minutes to go. We ended at 3.7 miles.
Moleskin: Misenheimer is fast, KGB is faster, and Curly is still faster than me (regardless of having a bad hamstring). Don’t say “Morning” to ladies that run by while 4 guys are down in a forearm plank – Curly thinks she was rude not to respond. I think that she was afraid and I was the one that attempted the greeting. When we saw him this morning, Rube had finished his last round of shots after getting bit by a monkey in Bangladesh and he was no longer foaming at the mouth (“I do NOT have the Black Syph!”).
