The Tide rolled back from behind this weekend, and Backup brought that same comeback energy down from Charlotte to the heart of Alabama for a Sweet Home-style beatdown. Dressed proud in his signed Chicago Bears Kyle Orton jersey (yes, that Orton), Backup planted the flag early—because greatness starts with confidence… or caffeine.

Warmup
We kicked things off like an Alabama kickoff return — high energy and a bit chaotic.

Side Straddle Hops x20

Squats x15

Lunges x10 each leg

Merkins x15

PAX were good and warmed like a Bryant-Denny tailgate grill.

The Thang
Divided into dynamic duos — Player 1 took a Crimson jog downfield while Player 2 busted out called exercises. Rotate and repeat until we all wished for halftime.

Then came a wall session worthy of a Saban defensive line:

Jack Lalannes (because Roll Tide strength needs balance)

Mike Tysons (just like Bama’s O-line—explosive and frightening)

Overhead Presses to remind us that winning takes lifting each other up

Moseyed to the playground for some iron-sharpening-iron work:

Dips

Incline Merkins

Step-ups

Gaap-ups (because no matter the drill, the Tide never rests)

Down the hill we went—Squats, Lunges, Alabama Prom Queens (because flair matters). By this point, even the dew was sweating.

Formed a circle where each PAX called out an exercise, ran around the circle, and proved that teamwork makes the dream (and pain) work.

To finish, we paired off again for a final 2-man grind: Player 1 ran while Player 2 pushed through chosen exercises. Rotated until our lungs were chanting Roooooll Tiiiide! just to survive.

Backup, struck by a wave of Christmas spirit (or altitude fatigue), mercifully ended the beatdown at the 45-minute mark.

Coffeeteria
Post-game analysis, good laughs, some football talk, and the kind of fellowship that makes this F3 thing special. Huge thanks to the Madison PAX for letting Backup bring a little Carolina flavor to Sweet Home Alabama.

Roll Tide. Da Bears. Backup out.
