The time Coach was SUPPOSED to come to Meltdown

I don’t hold grudges. At least, I try not to. But sometimes….as hard as you try….it happens. I’m not proud of it, but I hold a grudge against Coach. Not because of anything he did, it’s that he holds a grudge against me. So I hold a grudge against him.

That way the universe stays in balance.

I invited Coach to Meltdown. He committed in a very Coach-like manor. He hocked a loogie on my direction which in Coaches lingo is a form of commitment. So when he didn’t post i was disappointed. Lucky for me–and for coach–Blue was in a mood. A very coach like mood. I mean I’ve never heard blue swear like coach, but they way he looked at me….it was as bad as calling me some dirty dirty dirty words.

All because we did hair burners.

You might not know this, but the first time Blue did Hair Burners he got splayed. And by splayed, I mean he collapsed onto the concrete spread eagle like. In fact, the second time he did hair burners, Blue ran his head into the quarter panel of a Delta 88 Olds and did $1200 damage.

To the car–his head was fine.

Anyway, before we did anything we did the standard. Even Coach knows the importance of standards. After the standard, we did a series of KB exercises in between taking turns pushing the plates on the asphalt. We took 2 breaks for 11’s–Bulgarian split squats and deep squats and then more hairburners before doing 11’s of rocky leg lifts and lbcs.

I thought we could get 1 more round of hairburners in, but we were collectively spent. And this was after we did a brazilian mind bender led by how down.

Anyway, we worked our asses off and now my legs don’t work. I tried calling Blue to see if he felt the same and he forwarded his phone to Coach.

And all he had to say were dirty dirty words.

All because of a targeting call I made in the Myers Park Porter Ridge game 4 years ago. Coach just can’t let it go.

Even though i was right.
