Trivia Morning at Latta

The BackBlast:

14ish showed up this morning to enjoy the cooler summer temps. Tassels came prepared and was eager to give the pax everything they paid for and more.
What We Did –
– Up Park to tennis courts for some warmup – lunges, bear crawls as we stretched are legs.
– Down Euclid to Morehead for some SSHs, LBCs and merkins in front of the Dilworth Hanover in hopes that Dos Equis would join us. He didn’t.
– Down Morehead to McDowell, to the Pearl. We huddled up for some trivia and Tassels gave out merkins to those with incorrect answers. Many merkins were given.
– Partnered up with group 1 doing squats and bicycles (or some sort of Mary) while Group 2 ran downstairs and did 15 merkins, then swap. We did 3 rounds.
– Continued down McDowell into uptown where we stopped at Marshall Park.
– more motions – dips and merkins, then ran up hill to steps by Government Center.
– repeated the partner work with similar routine while the pax went from Government Center to Marshall park – 3 trips.
– up 3rd street with stops at Davidson, Caldwell and Brevard. We did 10, 20 and 30 merkins.
– down Brevard to Whole Foods/Francis. Pause for some power bottoms (plank with push-ups).
– Continued down Brooklyn Village Blvd back to McDowell, then into Dilworth via Oriole to Lexington to Myrtle.
– More Power bottoms as we went up Mrytle. Evidently a Tassels favorite.
-Final push to Grinder.

Moleskin –
– 13 of us covered about 4.5 miles, 1 of us had an early tee time and left after the Pearl.
– Tassels lead Lee, Updyke, Kodak, T-Bag, 40 Thieves, Cream Cheese, Clipboard, Kardashian, Boat Misser, Rube, Wilson, Sauté, and Brooks (tee time).
– Heard something new today – “we need to wait on Lee”.
– Tassels quizzed the pax on several Charlotte themed questions including “how much did Gene Woods make last year” and “who is Marshall Park named after”. It was fitting that MLF joined for coffee since he originated the trivia workout at Latta many years ago. We welcomed Girardi as well at coffee.
– No Skyline.
– I know many of you spent last weekend refreshing your inbox in hopes of a backblast. Unfortunately, I was a bit under the weather and Khloe must have had a trip to a barbecue place in the middle of the state.
– Prayers for Diego and his family. He was cycling to a workout this week and was hit by a car. Now going through Multiple surgeries at Atrium. Keep him in your thoughts.
– Glad Hander has the lead next week. I will be living the Kardashian lifestyle in Kiawah, so let’s hope Khloe shows up to document.
