What If They Held a Regicide And Nobody Came

Small pax for a crowd favorite – perhaps they knew what was coming? Certainly Superman, Smokey, RW, and Holtz all knew, and yet not one of them materialized from the gloom before we launched The Regicide.
For the unwashed, Regicide is the trademark protected name (looking at you, Sheep – I know you did it at BHM last month and will be hearing from my IP attorneys unless Maybe gets appointed to the Supreme Court by the Donald in which case I’ll probably have you deported) for a fun jog between Kings and Queens.
The Thang
What is the Regicide? Well, the pax departs from the AO and makes its way to the intersection of Kings & Norton. From there, we will do some merkins, then move with haste up Norton, do an exercise, then run back down Norton for more merkins. After that, we move down Kings and do the same thing on the next 3 streets (Hopedale, Coniston, Ardsley). Each street is progressively worse to conquer. Then, do all 4 of them in reverse. Merkins at the bottom of each hill (at beginning and end), J Los at the top round 1 and russian twists at the top round 2.
When done, 4.2miles, 160 merkins, 80 each for J Lo and Twists. And since we had 1 minute to spare, 10 burpees to get credit for the full 45.

– Teabag used to be fast but parenthood has caught up with him quickly. Or maybe he stayed up too late watching MNF with his friends Donkey Punch, Rusty Trombone, and The Dolphin. (Seriously though Teabag is one of my absolute favorite F3 monikers – the origin is Bostonian, but that doesn’t really matter to someone with a 6th grade sense of humor)
– MNF is back! Curly had to tell me who won (actually he had to tell me who played). That dude can carry on an extensive conversation while running up and down hills and keeping count of exercises. I was impressed. He’s still got it despite a nagging Achilles issue.
– Scrooge is going to be bringing me eggs. I’m not saying it’s the only reason that YHC is writing his first backblast since before The Summer of Floyd, but I’m not saying it isn’t. And that dude is out there doing good stuff in this town. You want to talk about accelerating, Scrooge has got it going on. But more in the Freed To Lead sense than the running faster sense… Also I respect that he always does his “thing” in COT no matter what. I only do it when Slaughter is there because he’s so damn judgmental.
That’s all I got for WiB. Next week, Teabag promises to bring some more new friends out as FNGs. Be thinking about names. If he brings someone from anywhere even remotely close to Cleveland, then it just has to be “Steamer.”
