I snagged several Q spots throughout Metro as soon as I knew I was done training for a race. The first one of 2023 was at Casbah. I will be in charge of Black Widow (tomorrow, 1/24), Promo (1/25), Sparta (1/27), Valley (2/2), and Worm (2/4). So, Giddy Up.
On this particular day, we hit the ground running at 0530 without waiting for Pepe. Left pool parking lot, head up the hill to Sharon Elementary to the basketball court behind the school for quick COP. Pepe chose correctly and caught up with us as we did 3 quick rounds of 5 pull ups, 10 merkins, 15, jump squats, and 20 LBCs.
Leave school, back down Fox Croft to Warburton. Run to the end for 10 side lunges and back down for 10 merkins. Head to Beretania.
Run to Sedley for 10 side lunges and back for 10 merkins. Then same thing on Lemon Tree. Up and over Sharon for a quick hot lap around the Jeff Gordon Speedway. Head back, stopping for some other exercises. Finish at the basketball court by pool for a Pitino Web #crowdpleaser.
I was informed that Titan did a similar workout last week with some repeats on the side streets of Fox Croft. Sorry, not sorry. Solid, fast group per usual.
