The BackBlast:

Lift n Shift is pretty awesome. Just beatdown from two sides. Fast, 25-minute BootCamp. Find a parking deck. Sprint across busy streets. Then, while your heart rate is high, 20 minutes of lifting a heavy bell in various directions. This is where time seems to slow down… 6:15 just doesn’t come.

This workout was spurned out of a bunch of HIM who thought outside the box, planted a shovel flag, and bring an epic beatdown week after week. Dudes being bros.

For this edition of LnS, we hit the ground at 5:30 and made our way across the lot towards the corner of Sharon and Fairview. Short COP in Walgreens lot. Head across the street to the parking deck of Rusty Bucket. Ran to the top. Stopping for 10 hand-release merkins and 10 squats on the way up. Some wall work at the top. Down the piss-infected steps… seriously… smelled like 2009 era Epi-Center stairwell smell. Not sure if the memory made me smile or made me taste a red bull and vodka. Good decisions.

Make our way back with a brief stop for some core work and a sprint under the mall back home. Grab your bell.

Next 20 minutes were lots of sweating, some new moves (cross body clean and press anyone?) Lots of other stuff. It was hot.

Mostly, it was 11 dudes who got up on a Monday morning to make ‘ish happen. And we did.
