Learning the lessons

The BackBlast:

aaa

I’d like to be one of those nouveaux parents that looks for every opportunity to help their child Express their feelings and keeps them from getting hurt. But the truth is I’m just not that kind of parent. My kids are grown and out of college but the professor’s got three boys. And my job as I see it is it to get these youngsters get ready for life. I might not be the most qualified at it but I’m doing my best. So when number 3 shows up to go to his first workout this morning wearing Crocs saying he can’t find his other shoes there’s a part of me that thinks maybe I should let him stay home. He doesn’t want to go to the work. He doesn’t  want to do a lot of things –like clean his room for smoke outside. On that  at last one we really put our foot down. No smoking in the house. So I decide let’s let him go to the workout in his Crocs. Maybe he could learn a lesson..
so the workout started out with the standard. Cuz that’s what we do. The challenge at Mission I am possible now it is our attendance has gotten so large does if it’s a pretty big circle of pain that we start off with. And yet we maintain the standards cuz no matter what size you are you still have to maintain standards. After that Vega and I split the group and I gave him the workout for the day. Here’s what we did.
We did a stack that included 10 dry docks 10 J-lo 10 staggered left merkins 10 schmear 10 Stagger right 10 Dieing cockroach K10 hand release Murkins 10 John Travolta’s 10 diamonds 10 heels to Heaven. In-between my group ran up a hill and Vega group ran across the parking lot. My group kind of got a little tired towards the end of running up and down the hill so I threw an 11 s of  Rocky sit-ups and LBC.
Back for c o t and got to name three FNG s which is always a good time. Number three ended up getting the nickname Dundee for wearing Crocs to the work out. By the way there was a pair of shoes found in the trunk that he wore before donating them to the Rescue Mission. If you never been to MIP you need to get there. It’s such an awesome thing to be a part of and we are really making a difference in men’s lives when we show up and do what we do. I hope I get to see you out there next Saturday
