The BackBlast:

Boneyard AO -0530 Thursdays at Eastway Middle

Tax Break was headlocked into coming to our new AO with the men of SABER house. Typically TB can be found blazing the streets of Charlotte amongst the Elite runners including Checkpoint and Hussein Bolt. This is no Bonesaw-running Strava-tracking Hoka-wearing type of jig…this is a straight up Boneyard. Overalls and flip flops work. He graced us with his presence by coming to a normal Metro workout.

I suspected this would go one of two ways, I would either get dropped immediately or have witnesses to see me sweat out Weds night taters. Pro-tip there is a Latrine at the nearby nature preserve. In my mind I keep thinking…If you can dodge a wrench…you can dodge a tax.

TB hails from the great garden state of New Jersey. When asked why he chose to migrate South, lower taxes were his answer…this the name. Thrust into the Southern Union he has adapted to the natives well, sipping sweet tea and incorporating pastels into a male wardrobe.

Word has it he was listed in the Panama Papers and can get your taxes lower than The Donald’s. This whiz kid was practically signing folks up for Swiss accounts towards the end.

I should probably pick on Wishbone. Due to legitimate injuries he modified the beatdown more than a early 2000’e civic with tilted wheels and no exhaust pipe. The man is a straight trooper and continues to go forth into the gloom. By day he’s pulling a Paul Bunyan off in the woods, far more respectable than tickling a keyboard and mouse all day. I am humbled.

As we closed with 11’s and passed by each other on the track…I thought about our famous tax collector Zacchaeus, and how Jesus didn’t run away from him but toward him. Thanks for leading us Tax Break, keeping us together and reminding us to run toward the men around us.

  1. I am truly blessed and honored to be a part of this great fellowship! As much as it hurts during the process. The greatness I feel when it’s all said and done makes it so worth it! To all my F3 brothers, be blessed and have a great day!!!
