The BackBlast:

YHC signed up at 2100 Thursday night to Q as the schedule showed an opening. There was no time to put a playlist together, so MySharona came through this morning with a set that was enjoyed by all the pax. The Weinke had no running on it, but there would be movement around the AO, but not far. We got at it by doing this:

Valdez
Grapevine
Broken Soldier (maybe it’s called something else, but basically while standing up, cross your feet and hang over and reach for your toes)
Merkins
Imperial Walkers

Mosey to bottom of stairs for people’s chair, Lalannes, and Mike Tysons.

Mosey to the top of the stairs and back down to plank position and plank jacks.

Mosey to top of parking lot and get in the people’s chair followed by Mohammed Alis.

Bearcrawl to first light pole, Lunge walk to next light pole and mosey to top of stairs to do peter parkers and parker peters.

Mosey downstairs to rails for inclines and inboards. Move to wall for dips. Climb back over wall to rails for inboards and elevated merkins on the rails (crowd pleaser).

Fast walk to Target entrance for pole squats. Then gather random Target shopping carts and return them to their rightful place.

Walk to top of stairs for overhead chair raises, partner table curls, chair chest lifts, LBC, more chair chest lifts, more partner table curls, more overhead chair raises, then return all the tables and chairs to their rightful spots.

Collect a few remaining loose carts and partner-carry them back to their rightful spots.

Mosey to bottom of stairs and over to greenway for step ups, (moon) dips, and split squats.

Mosey back to bottom of stairs for Protractors, Dollies, Rosalita’s, Bicycles, Heels to Heaven, and Oblique Crunches.

Mosey to top of stairs and down again, and then half upstairs and back down.

Mosey to top of parking deck for rail squats. Bearcrawl from light pole to wall, backward lunge walk back to first pole, backwards walk to next lightpole, then walk to top of stairs.

Walk diagonally to top of stairs, then down to start point.

Good to be back in the Q-Saddle after 8 months. YHC tried to keep the pax moving although in a low impact way.
Sharona’s playlist made the time go by quickly – YHC needs to up his song game if he’s going to Q at more Core AOs where a workout background is expected. Just keeping up with the speaker and phone during the workout is a thing in itself.

It was not pre-planned that we would be doing cart maintenance, but YHC’s selection of a cart to re-position made it clear why you don’t see a lot of Target carts all over town. Even though we were in the parking deck, the wheels were locked up making the re-positioning exercise much more interesting. YHC thinks Attila has earned its spot at the Target AO if any security cameras noticed the pax’ community service in returning the carts to the cart corral. (Pretty sure that this is the first ever F3 backblast to even use the phase “cart corral”.)

Target has also figured out that choosing extra heavy outdoor furniture will keep it from somehow showing up on someone’s backyard patio – especially the tables. Table curls were no joke, and more correctly were just shoulder shrugs for some of the pax.

Although a few regular Attila pax were MIA, the 8 pax who posted made a good start to their day. Next week Thermostat has the Q and clearly as the war baby in the group today he will probably add some distance next Friday.
