I’m kind of a forgetful person. In fact if it wasn’t for my ability to set alarms on my phone I probably wouldn’t get done most of what I have to do each day. But I’m happy to say that without an alarm I was able to remember how to get back to ALS this morning.
And when I got there it was as it should be . Strong group of men ready to get after it with the appropriate amount of Mumble chatter and complaining –and yet they followed orders. For a group of men that probably wouldn’t make it through basic training they actually function like pretty darn good soldiers once the work out starts.
Maybe that’s because every one of my workouts begins with the standard.
After which we moseyed up to the top parking lot for a series of exercises heavy on the merkins. We did ten Dry Dock 10 JLo 10 stagger left 10 schmear 10 Stagger right 10 dying cockroach ten hand release merkin 10 John Travolta’s on each side 10 diamond and then 10 heels to heaven. We repeated this doing 8 6 4 2. After this we started off trying to do a set of 11s with side lunges and Copperhead squats lunge walks in between. But YHC got bored so we ran to the hill by the baseball field and did partner work blimps with one partner running up to the top of the hill and touching the fence in between rounds.
We finished up with a guardian run back to c o t and about 3 minutes of Mary.

Great to be back here again. My desire to spend time on my bike keeps me from being able to be present at this workout as much as I’d like to. But I know that this group represents the best of f 3. You’ve got men that come together regularly to get better ,stay together and most importantly love each other. And that’s what allows us to do the greater work we are called to do. As we are about to begin the give to give campaign it is essential that we acknowledge this great thing that we get to do where we are never asked to reach for our wallet. I think this makes me want to give even more. The fact that I’ve never been asked to pay for F3 gives it a value that’s indescribable.
