Idea was raised at MenSpeak today of a potential collaboration around Gun Safety talks in schools to educate parents and potentially students. i.e. how to store safely, how to handle safely (i.e. don’t look down the barrel, always assume loaded), what to do/ who to call if you see one, etc. Seems like gun safety could be a position of unity, whether one thinks everyone should own a gun or no one should. Hit me up if you’d like to be part of the conversation/ initiative; your involvement could be as discrete as making an intro to a Principal / PTA leader or suggesting a resource / expert #team effort; or as involved as promoting and/or facilitating the actual discussions. #male community leadership First internal planning conversation will be this Monday June 6th at 9PM.
