Packed crowd at Sparta

The BackBlast:

Weather: 35 Degrees and downpour rain (torrential downpour).

Pax: 23 of the finest Pax in F3 Nation, including   an FNG and DR pax from Greensboro.

How did I get here?

Glad you asked. Snots asked this week to Q Sparta sometime.  I said cool, put me down for next week.  24 hours later I get a message from the Nations Nan’tan asking for a Q swap.  I’m not a smart man but knowing the influence, power and ability to make shit happen, I can’t say no to Slaughter.  Then I find out upon my arrival that Doobie suggested to Snots that he pulls me into Q.  So Thanks, Doobie. All of this said, I was honored to oblige.

Now what went down?

First, let me say that we had a record number of pax for my Q.  As expressed above, the well timed marketing of me as the Q drove the record numbers.  Pax travelled from as far as Greensboro and others brought FNGs to experience WhatDid.

But WhatDid Happen?

0530 hit and we circled up for COP.

  • 20 SSH IC
  • 15 Merkins IC

Brief break to say Good Morning to Cindy as he was doing wind sprints up the hill waiting for the main event to start. Exercises isn’t his thing. That’s cool.

  • Finish up with Akron from Greensboro calling Abe Vigoda IC.

Then we pealed out to Sedgefield road, behind the school, with only one pax falling in the mud, Checkpoint of course. We find ourselves on Habersham.  Partner up and:

  • Run down the opposite side of the road for partner Merkins.  Back to the top.
  • Plank it up
  • Then all the way back down for 10 burpees OYO.  Crowd pleaser.

Pick back up an head over to Trinity middle through the park, down a dirt path which was temporarily a stream.

Line up on Trinity gym wall for 2 rounds of:

  • 10 Mike Tyson IC
  • 10 wall Hip Slappers IC

Get moving down Park road to Marsh road. Stopping on the corner of Park & Marsh for Derkins and Dips. All went well until Dredd woke up the locals.  We heard a few curse words yelled out the window. To which we used to move along.

Headed up to EB Moore Park and landed on the basketball court. At this point, the fan favorite Cindy was still with us. I think he really liked this crew – we still had the FNG and Akron from Greensboro.

We did a few rounds of Marry on the middle of the basketball court, which was soaked and the rain kept pouring.  Good times.

Pick back up and head along Marsh for a few more stops.  You get it. We actually exercised which caused us to lose Cindy. Dredd was still with us – he was conversing with the pax about random topics which I sure had purpose in his mind. Maybe another book?

We found our way back to the Sparta AO via Wriston, Dorchester and Poindexter.

3.5 Miles of running and exercises. Good times!

NMM

  • Dredd can talk on any topic.  More topics than one can remember but all of them seem purposeful. I think.
  • We had Akron from Greensboro with us. My man drove down from the Great Wolf lodge to spend the morning with us.  That’s what it’s about.  Lock shield with your brothers while you’re on the road.
  • We had an FNG. In an Out brought his buddy Bryan from Bible Study.  He’s from Wisconsin. So we named him Harry Beaver.  Seems right.
  • Checkpoint went down in the mud. A few weeks ago he practically broke his ankle on a workout. I don’t want to make to much of it but maybe the Sexty is catching up to him.

Announcements

  • There will be a BBQ for Double Trouble’s family the first weekend of March. Be on the look out. Be a HIM and plan to support it.  He’s in our prayers.
  • Kind the Hills is coming back. 4/26. Get your team and get ready. More in here.

Prayers

  • DT’s family.
  • We all need them. Let your heart be known to Him.

Take out by Dredd.  Strong. Thank you.

Always honored to lead. Thanks Snots, Slaughter, and Doobie.
